Uniform

Uniform Shop Hours

The College Uniform shop is open 3 days a week Monday through Wednesday from 8am until 4pm during Terms 2 & 3. An amount of second hand uniforms are available from the Uniform Shop. The Uniform shop is located at the back of Winthrop Baptist College close to the Murdoch University Ovals.

Expectations 

All students are to be neat in appearance and in complete uniform travelling to and from the College or when representing their College either in groups or as individuals (unless otherwise specified).

Hats 

The hat is to be worn at recess and lunch time all year. Untidy hats will need to be replaced if required by the College.

Blazers 

The College blazer is to be worn in public, during Terms 2 and 3, while travelling, at school functions and when representing the College.

Jumpers 

In school, jumpers may be worn with or without the blazer over the top.  In public, if the jumper is worn then the blazer must be worn over the top of the jumper. 

Sports Uniform

Correct sports uniform is to be worn at training and during matches. Sports uniform is not to be worn to school in the morning. College sports socks are to be worn with the sport uniform only.

Students travelling home by public transport after school are to change back into school uniform. An exception is made for those training or competing late. These students may travel home in the College tracksuit (permission must be given by the Physical Education teacher). 

Socks or Tights 

Socks, tights - girl's white fold-over anklet socks can be worn all year round. Optional black tights can be purchased from the College for winter. Socks and tights and not to be worn together.
Boys must wear the grey College socks with both summer and winter uniforms.

Shoes 

Black leather lace up shoes (no heels) are to be worn with both the summer and winter College uniforms. Black sports shoes are not acceptable footwear. 
Predominantly white sports shoes are to be worn with the College sports uniform.  

Skirts

Dress of skirt length to be middle of the knee or below. 

Shorts 

Boys shorts to be no lower than the top of the knee - the knee must be visible.

Hair 

Girl's hair, if shoulder length is to be tied up. Green or black scrunchies are acceptable. Hair clips, if used, need to match hair colour.

The boy's styles and length of hair must be no longer than the shirt collar and conform to College standards.

Extremes of hair colour, including long fringes, shaven sides or shaven heads is not permitted. Boy's hair cut is to be no shorter than a No. 2. 

Boy's faces are to be clean shaven.

Makeup

When students are in uniform, make-up, nail polish etc. is not to be worn.

Jewellery

Boys and girls are permitted to wear a wristwatch. Students may wear one plain chain with a cross or Christian fish symbol. Additionally, girls are permitted to wear one small, plain sleepers or stud earrings in the lower lobe of the ear. Other jewellery worn by students will be confiscated for the duration of the school term.

Notes

All items of clothing are to be clearly marked with the student's name.  Other than this no student is to write on any part of the school uniform.

Breaches of uniform rules will result in warning, detention, suspension and finally exclusion from the College.
